2007 Loyal E. Horton Dining Awards Contest

University Catering won the Bronze award for "Catering - Standard Menu" in the 2007 Loyal E. Horton Dining Awards Contest, in association with the National Association of College and University Food Service (NACUFS).


2007 Culinary Challenge

University Housing's Chef Irvin won third place in the 7th Annual National Association of College and University Food Services Culinary Challenge in Long Beach, California on February 20. Additionally, Chef Irvin won an American Culinary Federation, Silver Medal in the competition. He practiced his preparation and presentation in Carson Dining Center in front of students on February 15 and gave out samples. This event was featured on local news programs on KVAL and KEZI. The 2007 Culinary Challenge was to prepare an original recipe that is a lacto ovo vegetarian entrée using tofu as the mandatory ingredient. Competitors had one hour to prepare four servings.


CASE - 2006 District VIII Communication Awards

University of Oregon Housing Marketing and Communications won the Bronze Award for Special Audiences - Exhibition and Special Event publications for the Catering Menu and Folder in 2006.
